The student team will present their findings and results of their efforts in a public presentation at Piñon Elementary School in Santa Fe at 4:30 pm on Friday, May 10, 2019.

 Northern New Mexico College Student Filmmakers, Nathan Maestas and Christopher Cata, worked with the students of the ATLAS Program at Piñon Elementary School and the Academy for Technology and the Classics about their research on the effects of climate change on water. The students also learned technical terms for film equipment and some tips on framing and balancing audio. Stay tuned for a short film about the students' research!

Pinon Elementary School is looking into this due to student concerns about the future and thanks to the afterschool program being launched by Delara Sharma with support from local community members, CommUNITY Learning Network, Northern New Mexico College, and the Smithsonian Science Education Center's ATLAS - Always Think Like a Scientist - program.
